And soon they both knew, "With the advent of the internet, we no longer needed to associate with a big real estate franchise to reach all corners of the world with our marketing.  We could create a niche company that grows through referrals by delivering exceptional real estate service to each client.  The invaluable extra service the big guys do not have time for."  Jon became a Broker and they opened Pfau & Company, Inc. in 2000.

Jon Pfau was born in Austin on June 11th, 1963 to Jim and Judy Pfau and delivered by his Grandfather, Dr. Sigman Hayes.  He attended public school in Austin and he and his brother, Jim, spent a lot of time fishing in Shoal Creek just down the street from home on Greenlawn Parkway.  Sister, Juli, is 4 years older and had better things to do.  Towards the end of junior high the family purchased a large ranch outside of Florence where the boys "grew up", attended  high school, lettered in football, basketball, baseball, track and fished a lot more.  Mom and Dad decided to broaden their horizons, bought a home in Colorado, and both boys graduated from Aspen High School. 

C. J. Pfau was born in Taylor, Texas to Gilbert & Lucile Mokry on December 3rd, and she believes the year is irrelevant.  She attended Catholic pre-school and early school years then transferred to public school and graduated a Taylor High Fighting Duck.  C. J. was a member of the track team, tennis team, band and the High Steppers, the drill team as they are known.  She has a brother, Gilbert and two sisters, Lou Ann and Gail.  She began her hobby of fashion and shopping somewhere in her early years.  Her Mom still lives in the small town home C.J. was raised in.

Jon worked through high school summers and his early twenties in the family tire business, studied criminal justice in college and became part owner of a family restaurant in Round Rock, the Bodega Steakhouse and Cantina.  Next came a small ranch operation running 100 head of cross bred cattle, and eventually landing where he belonged in real estate sales at Century 21 in Round Rock at 28 years old.

C. J. was a swim instructor and worked at the local cosmetics store, Merle Norman, through her high school years and then went to work in the banking industry soon after graduation.  She purchased her first home at 18 years of age. She excelled at the bank, attaining a V.P. of the liquidated real estate assets division.  Rounding out her experience was a stint in the mortgage and building business, followed by the challenge of many years in the real estate title industry and becoming a Branch Manager of First American Title.

As Jon recalls, “After several years of selling property in Round Rock, I moved to Georgetown with the new Century 21 office.  One day while working as a Closing Officer of a title company, C.J. stopped by the Century 21 office for business and I swooped in pretty effectively.  We were soon married.  We also became partners in real estate”.

Jon Pfau became a licensed real estate agent in 1991, later becoming a Broker.  Real estate education includes over 1,200 classroom hours of real estate and related courses as well as countless sales and marketing seminars.

C.J. Pfau became a licensed real estate agent in 2000, later becoming a Broker.  Real estate education includes over 1,000 classroom hours of real estate and related courses and lots of sales and marketing training.

Each has deep ties to the community.  Jon served as President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce in 1998 and C. J. the President of the Williamson County Association of Realtors in 2005.  Jon and C. J. have nearly 50 years of combined real estate related experience and a strong reputation to uphold.  They  have participated in thousands of real estate transactions gaining invaluable experience over the years and constantly applying new wisdom to their business system ensuring a smooth closing while exceeding client expectations.
