Gabriel’s Overlook has been part of our story since the beginning.

 When Pfau & Company Realtors was launched in 2000, Gabriel’s Overlook was still in the early stages of development.

One day, while cruisng down Highway 29, I noticed the roads being cut in and decided to see what was taking shape.

Coincidentally, Gabriel’s Overlook sits almost directly across the highway from the 28-acre mini ranch my parents owned when I was a child. Mom and Dad sold it decades ago, but I still remembered how much we loved that place.

Now the area was beginning a new chapter.

The rolling Hill Country landscape, native oak trees, larger acreage homesites, gated entrance, and access to the South San Gabriel River immediately made the community feel different from many traditional subdivisions in the area.

I called C.J. from my gray, brick-style mobile phone and told her we were moving.

We soon bought Lot 54 and built one of the earlier homes in the neighborhood at 305 Park Place Drive, where we spent more than ten years.

Over time, we came to know Gabriel’s Overlook not simply through real estate activity, but through everyday life.

Neighbors became and still are friends. 

We experienced the character of the community firsthand—from walks to the river park and friendly conversations along the way to the quiet sense of peace that continues to attract buyers today.

I even kayaked from the neighborhood river park to Blue Hole in Georgetown several times. The trip had its obstacles, but the beauty and solitude always made it worthwhile.

Gabriel’s Overlook felt like a beautiful and convenient oasis from a busy world.

Nearby Garey Park adds another layer to the setting, with miles of trails, river access, and outdoor recreation along the South San Gabriel.

Located in Georgetown within Liberty Hill ISD, Gabriel’s Overlook remains one of the more distinctive custom-home communities in the region, with approximately 280 homes spread across one- to four-acre homesites.

While the neighborhood represents only one part of our broader Central Texas business, it has always remained a community we genuinely enjoy serving and returning to.
